lucas Los Angeles, Feb 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas is all set to produce an animated musical, that is rumored to feature fairies. Very little information is available about the project, but it is said to be in pre-production at the Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in California.

It is being said that the screenplay is by the “Elf” and “The Spiderwick Chronicles” scribe David Berenbaum. And the ‘TMNT’ director Kevin Munroe is going to direct the animated musical. For the last 5 years, George Lucas hasn’t directed a movie since “Revenge of the Sith”. And it is being said that he wrote, and is also currently producing “Red Tails,” which is an adventure movie. It is about the Tuskegee Airmen, who were the first African-American military pilots.

It is quite hard to believe that the director of sci-fi flicks such as Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, would actually go ahead, and produce an animated musical about fairies. It is indeed a rare step for him. And the whole thing is kept under wraps that very little is known about it. A Lucas film spokesperson said that it is “too early to comment on the details of the project”.
