George Lucas To Begin New Comedy Star Wars Sitcom
April 6th, 2010 - 11:39 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonApr 06 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Although many viewers laughed all the way through several parts of “Star Wars:Episode Three-Revenge of the Sith” but George Lucas never intended for it to be a humorous movie. In fact it is even possible that he would have, at that time, been offended by being laughed at. Now, however, Lucas has changed his tune, and has announced that he intends to team up with the makers of “Robot Chicken” to make a new Star Wars series. An animated comedy sitcom. “Star Wars:The Clone Wars” is already onto it’s second season on “The Cartoon Network” but it is a more series cartoon series, this one is set to be a comedy.
George Lucas has not yet announced a start date to the sitcom, which will be written by such writers as Brendan Hay from “The Daily Show”, and Seth Green along with Matthew Seinreich who are creators and executive producers of “Robot Chicken” will both have “creative involvement”. The producer will be Daytime Emmy and Gemini Award winner Jennifer Hill from “The Backyardigans” and Todd Grimes from “Back To The Barnyard” will be the director.
