Former Beatle guitarist George Harrison, who died of cancer in 2001 is to be honoured with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Harrison’s star will be unveiled on 13 April (08) on 1750 Vine Street, next to former bandmate John Lennon’s star, and right infront of the Capitol Records building, the Hollywood home of the Beatles. Harrison’s widow Olivia and son Dhani are expected to be present at the function. The event is timed to coincide with Martin Scorsese’s forthcoming documentary about the star, and Capitol’s release of previously unheard Harrison material. – Sampurn Media
