George Clooney to portray tycoon John DeLorean
December 12th, 2010 - 4:17 pm ICT by ANILondon, Dec 12 (ANI): George Clooney is all set to play John DeLorean in an upcoming film based on the flamboyant car executive’s life.
The Oscar winner is in talks to star as the man who created the famous DMC-12 gull-wing cars used in the ‘Back To The Future’ films, reports the Daily Express.
DeLorean, who died in 2005 aged 80, got 100million pounds from the UK Government to set up production in Northern Ireland in 1981 but after just 21 months the plant shut having made fewer than 9,000 cars. (ANI)
