George Clooney to host MTV telethon for Haiti

NEW YORK CITY (BNO NEWS) — Oscar-winning actor George Clooney will host an MTV telethon to raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti next week, the network said on Thursday.
“MTV and George Clooney have teamed up to present a telethon to rally support and raise money for the embattled country,” MTV said in a statement. The bi-coastal telethon is set to air on Friday night, January 22, and will air on all MTV Networks channels.
MTV said all proceeds will go toward relief efforts in Haiti. A roster of musicians, actors and actresses are also expected to take part in the benefit and will be announced in the coming days.
