George Clooney may star in ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E’
November 22nd, 2010 - 3:37 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 22 (ANI): George Clooney is reportedly in talks to play Napoleon Solo in a big screen adaptation of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E’.
The actor has met Steven Soderbergh, who is directing the film version of the cult 1960s TV show about two secret agents.
According to the BBC, the two have discussed the Napoleon Solo role, played by Robert Vaughan in the original television series.
Clooney is a long-time collaborator with Soderbergh on films including ‘Out of Sight’, the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ series and ‘Syriana’.
As Clooney and Soderbergh are both busy on other projects, the film, which will retain its 1960s setting, is still in the early stages of development. (ANI)
