Tallahassee, Feb 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) George Clinton Jr. who is the son of the funk legend George Clinton has been found dead. His body was discovered at his home in Tallahassee, Florida on the 1st of February 2010. There doesn’t seem to be any suspicion of foul play in the death of the 50-year-old George Clinton Jr. death. As the police spokesperson say that it seems that he died from natural causes. He also added that, “Barring any finding by the Medical Examiner’s Office, our investigation is complete.”

Clinton Jr.’s daughter Shonda survives him. She performs under the name of Sativa. The funk legend George Clinton was already coping with the loss of his mother Julious G. Keaton, who passed away in December 2009. It is certainly a double loss for the funk legend.

There are reports that Clinton Jr. died quite earlier, and his body was discovered when a maintenance man who keeps a tab on Clinton’s welfare, went to check on him. He got the surprise of his life, to find that the 50-year-old Clinton Jr. was lying dead in front of him. Clinton Sr. was the owner of a studio in which his son Clinton Jr. used to work. The Florida police have also ruled out any foul play, and say that the death apparently happened due to natural causes.
