Feb 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Funk stalwart George Clinton Senior is in a deeply aggrieved state after losing his son singer George Clinton Jr. The son of the funk legend was only 50 years old when he died. The son of the star passed away on Feb 1, according to the reports. He reportedly died after battling with liver ailments. This is a massive blow for George Clinton. The singer who died in his apartment, was working with his music band.

He was not seen by anyone for a number of days and then his dead body was found by a maintenance staff. The singer is survived by daughter Shonda Clinton, who is popularly known as Sativa Diva. The demise of Mahlia Franklin, which took place earlier this month, also came as a bolt from the blue for George Clinton Senior. In addition to this, Julious G. Keaton, his mother died in December last year. One can understand the mental state of the star who had to lose three persons closest to him within a few months time.

The sad demise of George Clinton Jr. comes as a rude shock to the funk lovers. The singer was struggling with liver ailments and the fans are mourning his death. They are also sending their condolences to the father of the singer who is totally upset. Clinton Senior had attended the Grammys recently but had no idea about the tragedy that would strike his family. The police ruled out any chances of foul play behind the untimely death and the Sheriff’s office has completed the investigation too.
