Los Angeles, Feb 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Australian newspaper, The Herald Sun has reported that Gemma Ward had a romantic stint with Heath Ledger, just before he died.

The newspaper had an interview with the 23-year-old actress about how her relationship with Ledger was. Gemma told the newspaper all about the romantic period she had with Ledger.

On how the two met, Gemma said she was going through a crisis in her life that she didn’t want to discuss. She further said Ledger was also going through a similar problem so they decided to hang out and keep the relationship not serious.

She revealed that the pair spent their Christmas at Perth which happens to be the birth city for both of them. Gemma described that moment as most memorable because they were able to keep the media spotlight off from them.

“We were able to not be in any kind of a spotlight and not have to be meeting with people or be hounded by press or anything,” Gemma said. “We lived in a magical kind of world where we weren’t intruded upon.”

Unfortunately Ledger died less than a month after the two returned to New York. Gemma declined to reveal whether they were still involved romantically at the time that he died.
