Gemini TV To Launch Reality Show ‘Sangeeta Mahayuddham’ On June 26

June 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Gemini TV is set to introduce a new music reality show, “Sangeeta Mahayuddham’, which is scheduled to air from June 26.
Renowned anchor and actress Udaya Bhanu will host the reality show, which aims to offer a new format in this genre. It will be team based and not individualistic like other music reality shows. The one hour show is being produced by the Saibaba Telefilms, which will be aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm.
The show sponsored by the Amul, will bring renowned music directors and singers as the captains of the teams including big names like Hemachandra, Venugopal, Geetha Madhuri, Raghu Kunche, Nihal and Malavika. They will challenge each other’s team, which will consist of young talents.
The mega audition was conducted at Hyderabad, where eighteen finalists were selected from a huge number of participants. The show will continue for 14 weeks, where all the teams will challenge each other. There will be a total of three rounds - Jugalbandi, Solo, and Medley. Two captains will compete every week and will sing for the highest score. The rest of the captains will judge the performances of the singers.
