London, Mar 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Gary Robbie has told The Sun that he is on a challenge to burn the most calories than Gary Barlow before their Take That tour kick off.

The 37-year-old told the British newspaper that when he heard that Barlow was trying to lose weight and be fit for the upcoming tour, he decided that it was time for him to also lose some weight as well. His motivation is the fact that he doesn’t want Barlow to lose more weight than him.

Robbie told The Sun that, “Gary and the boys were at my house in LA last week when Gary turns to me and says, ‘I won’t be needing these clothes soon, do you want them?’ - ’cause he’s going on a diet. That was the day I thought, ‘Right, if you’re eating a lettuce, I’m eating half a lettuce.”

Robbie said the challenge is serious preferring to describe it as ‘war’ of diet between himself and Barlow. He joked that he has his sights set on a figure like that of Christian Bale’s in the Machinist.

Robbie and 40-year-old Barlow are part of their band’s Progress tour this May. The tour would take the band round Europe.
