gary-coleman-wifeMay 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former child star Gary Coleman who died on Friday had his family members beside him when his life-support was removed. His wife Shannon Price had to make the agonizing decision of removing the life-support. The “Diff’rent Strokes” star was 42 at the time of his death. He was admitted to the Provo facility in Utah after what his family described as a serious medical condition. Reportedly he suffered a severe head injury when he had a fall. The hospital authorities revealed that Gary Coleman was ‘conscious and lucid’ when he was brought to the hospital but his condition deteriorated very quickly. By the next day he began to drift in and out of consciousness.

He was unconscious when his wife made the choice. The comedian, who was known for his catchphrase ‘What’choo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?’, was married to Shannon Price since 2007. They met on the sets of the comedy ‘Church Ball’ and married a few months later in a secret wedding. The actor suffered a series of financial and medical setbacks before he settled in Utah in 2007. The couple also had several reports of domestic violence since their marriage.

The couple also appeared in the show “Divorce Court,” but unlike other participants Gary Coleman and his wife tried to save their marriage rather than trying to get separation orders. After his hospitalization Shannon Price and her father addressed the media and said that Gary Coleman needs prayers. Gary Coleman was hospitalized earlier this year twice for what his family said were ’seizures’. He also suffered from a congenital kidney disorder.
