May 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former child star Gary Coleman has been hospitalized near his Utah home for what his family calls a serious medical condition. The actor is reportedly in a critical condition and is in ICU. Sources close to his family have said that he was admitted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center when he suffered a serious head injury after a fall. Gary Coleman’s Utah Attorney Randy Kester told the media that he has been in constant touch with the family since the accident. He also added that the family is unwilling to share the details with the media at the moment.

Gary Coleman was also hospitalized recently in January and again in February after he reportedly suffered from a seizure. He also suffers from a congenital kidney disease for which he undergoes regular dialysis. The former ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ star has also undergone a surgery during his present hospitalization. Gary Coleman has been a resident of Utah since 2005. He reportedly moved here after he had a string of financial and medical problems.

His wife Shannon Price and her father released a statement on Thursday and said that all they need at the moment are prayers and they are also hoping that he will soon be fine and back home. The star became a household name for his role in ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ which aired from 1978 to 1986. He married Shannon Price in 2007 in a secret wedding after he met her during the filming of a comedy ‘Church Ball’ which is about a basketball team formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The star’s agent, Robert Malcolm, has been unavailable for comment.
