Garner’s stalker sent to psychiatric clinic
March 31st, 2010 - 10:25 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, March 31 (IANS) The man accused of stalking actress Jennifer Garner has been sent to psychiatric clinic after been found not guilty of the offences due to reasons of insanity.
Contactmusic.com reports that the Los Angeles judge found Steven Burky not guilty and ruled that he should be sent to a state mental hospital.
Garner was awarded a permanent restraining order against Burky in 2008, stating that he should stay at least 100 yards away from the actress and her family. The order was set to last until 2011.
But Burky was spotted outside the Los Angeles nursery the actress’ four-year-old daughter Violet attends in December last year and arrested.
The 37-year-old Burky’s aunt claimed that his obsession was the result of a psychological condition. Court officials agreed.
