Gandhi helmer Attenborough out of coma and stable
December 22nd, 2008 - 3:35 pm ICT by ANILondon, Dec 22 (ANI): Lord Richard Attenborough, who directed Oscar-winning movie Gandhi, is out of coma and is in a stable condition.
The veteran director, also known as Dickie, was admitted to hospital after he banged his head in a fall at his home last week.
He is being treated at the nearby St Georges Hospital, South West London, and might have to stay in over Christmas.
My uncle is still in hospital, but doctors say there is no cause for concern. He had a fall and banged his head, the Sun quoted his niece Susan, as saying.
Hes 85 and falls hurt, you know. Hes doing well. We dont know when he will be released or whether he will be home in time for Christmas, but we all hope so, she added. (ANI)
