Game-show host Ken Ober dies at 52

Los Angeles, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famous host of ‘Remote Control’ game show Ken Ober has died. The cause of his death is still unclear. He was ages 52 years.

Ken Ober, had hosted the classic 1980s MTV game show “Remote Control” and he was also instrumental in producing the shows “Mind of Mencia” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine”.

His agent, Lee Kernis, says Ober was found dead Sunday in his Santa Monica home. Kernis says Ober complained of headaches and flu-like symptoms on Saturday night but the cause of his death wasn’t clear.

Ken Ober hosted a total of five seasons of the classic 1980s MTV game show “Remote Control” which began transmitting in 1987. The various contestants were asked pop-culture questions from categories such as “Dead or Canadian?” The famed show, which was a super, hit with the 1980’s generation featured Adam Sandler, Denis Leary and Colin Quinn, as its contestants.

Ken Ober, was born Ken Oberding in Massachusetts. His parents and a brother, according to sources, survive him.
