Gabriel Aubry on Halle Berry split: We’ve only love and respect for each other
May 2nd, 2010 - 12:58 pm ICT by ANINew York, May 2 (ANI): Gabriel Aubry has spoken out about his split from Halle Berry, insisting “we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.”
It was on Friday that the Oscar-winning actress, 43, and the Canadian model, 34, the father of Berry’s two-old-daughter, announced that they were breaking up, reports The New York Daily News.
“While I will not comment on all of the wild inaccuracies being speculated about in the media, I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time,” Aubry said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
“She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known,” Aubry said. “And I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.”
Also, Aubry and Berry have vowed to put the best interests of their daughter, Nahla, ahead of everything else.
“Her happiness and well-being are the most important thing for both of us,” Aubry said. “Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time.”
Sources said the couple has agreed to share custody of Nahla. (ANI)
