While standing in different poses for the popular fashion magazine, ‘Harper’s Bazaar’, she exclaimed that she felt as if she was a ‘model’. During the photo-session, she narrated different incidents of her life and how she gathered so much self-confidence.

Gabourey Sidibe, has received huge critical appreciation for her acting in the “Precious”, which had earned her first nomination for the “Golden Globe” awards. The obese teenager, who was once teased by her friends for her figure is now a popular face of the movie industry. She referred to some incidents of her past, when people said that she would not be able to pose in front of the camera until and unless she reduces her excess weight. The actress said that these things made her upset but she never lost hope.

In an interview, Gabourey Sidibe indicated her satisfaction about her career. She also indicated that she would appear in some new television drama. According to some sources, the actress, who has gained popularity with her debut role, would appear in the new drama, ” The Big C”. It has come to the news that she would play the role of Andrea, in the drama. The drama also features Laura Linney and Oliver Platt. As stated by the sources, the show is scheduled to air in the fall and Gabourey Sidibe will be seen in a guest role. The actress is confident about her acting career and is expected to perform in some major roles in the coming days.
