Feb 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) George Clinton Junior expired due to liver disease recently, at the age of 50. He was the son of famous P-funk mastermind George Clinton and is survived by his daughter Shonda Clinton, who is famously known among the rap lovers as Stiva Diva.

George Clinton died in his own apartment in Florida, Tallahassee. The exact time of his death is not known and he was found dead in his own apartment, by a maintenance worker. It is being reported that his body was there in the apartment for days before the worker brought it to the notice of the authority. The police from Leon County Sheriff’s Office arrived immediately and took charge of the body for investigation and sent it for autopsy. The body was taken to the morgue thereafter.

Initial investigations suggest that he died due to the liver failure but the reason for the death will be confirmed only after the detailed autopsy reports. No official release on Clinton junior’s death cause has been made available till now.

George Clinton Jr was working on his own band GClll before his death. He had also performed in many of the P-Funk music albums. Though he could not as famous as his father, he had quiet a strong fan following. George Clinton senior was informed about the demise of his son and since then has broken down in grief. This bit of news is a double blow to him and is the second tragic loss in a row, right after the death of his 86 year old mother Julious G.Keaton.
