Los Angeles, Aug 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael Jackson’s former manager Frank Dileo has died at the age of 63 years. Dileo was the manager of the singer at the peak of his career in the 1980s.

The spokesperson of Dileo told reporters that he died in Ohio after he suffered complications from a heart surgery that he had about six months ago. The music executive was once praised by Jackson for turning his dream of the Thriller song to a reality.

He was responsible for the Thriller album which became the most successful for the singer. Dileo has managed several other stars including Jodeci, Taylor Dayne and guitarist Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi.

The co-executor of Jackson’s estate, John Branca, said that, “He was not only one of the great veterans of the music business, he was a beloved friend to me and all who were lucky enough to have had him in their lives. He was one of a kind. He was a character. He was an original.”

After Dileo and Jackson abruptly ended their working relationship in 1993, the pair got back together again for what would have been the singer’s last concert. Jackson reportedly asked Dileo to manage his This Is It Tour.

Jackson was preparing for the concert when he died in 2009.
