Franco honoured for charity work
June 16th, 2011 - 8:05 am ICT by IANSLondon, June 16 (IANS) Actor James Franco has been honoured for his humanitarian work at an AIDS charity event.
Franco received the Piaget award of inspiration for his philanthropy and contributions to men’s style at amfAR, the foundation for AIDS research.
“I’m still a little unsure why I’m being honoured, but I’m glad that I’m here and I’m glad that I can help. It’s certainly a cause that I believe in,” contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.
Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love and Liza Minnelli performed during the bash for Dame Elizabeth Taylor’s amfAR.
