Paris, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) French authorities have banned the music video of Rihanna because it promotes “self-destructive behavior.” The country say the video of the track “We Found Love” cannot be played on the country’s media before 10pm because it has the tendency to influence children in the negative way.

The Supreme Audiovisual Council of France ruled that the content of the video were “’pronounced suggestive.” France is not the only country to have taken the action. Several other countries have banned the singer’s video because of the content. Another track, S&M has also been banned in several countries because of the lyrics that it contains.

Rihanna described the banned video as one of the biggest projects that she has worked on. Addressing the controversy surrounding the video, the 23-year-old said that, “We’ve never done a video like this before. This is probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done. It’s all about love and love being like a drug… you definitely get that from this. The good feeling of it and the dangers of it. That’s what this video is about.”

“We Found Love” was inspired by the abuse that the singer suffered from the hands of former partner Chris Brown. The rapper was given five years probation for the incident.
