New York City, May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Politico has reported that FOX has fired Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum for apparently missing the deadline to declare their presidential ambitions. The two were told that they have until the 1st of May to declare they have no presidential ambition. When they failed to do that, FOX terminated their contracts.

As we get closer to the political season, it is expected that FOX will take similar actions against other personalities. People like Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin and John Bolton are all on FOX’s payroll. They are expected to announce their decisions regarding the 2012 race.

In March, FOX News Channel suspended Gingrich and Santorum from the network for 60 days. A FOX News report read by anchor Bret Baier in March said the two had up to the 1st of May to decide what they intend to do politically.

FOX seemed to have made the rules because the news said the contract of the two would be “terminated unless they notify Fox that they are not running for president.”

US President Barack Obama has launched his reelection bid. His political career was recently boosted when he supervised the killing of Osama bin Laden. The 2012 Presidential race is expected to be keener than the 2008 one.
