Fox International launches 7 new channels in India
June 30th, 2010 - 7:14 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi,June 30 (IANS) Fox International, part of the Ruper Murdoch owned News Corp, Wednesday launched 7 new channels, including one dedicated to babies, in India.
Baby TV is a 24-hour subscription driven channel which will feature original series produced after consulting psychologists and child experts. Its target audience will be toddlers and their parents.
Spanning the entertainment and adventure genres, the group will also beam six other paid channels like FX, offering award winning soaps, and nature and adventure based-national geographic high definition, national geographic wild, national geographic adventure and national geographic music.
Fox crime channel will air drama serials dedicated to crime and investigation.
“We aim to keep our viewers enthralled by compelling content range which includes crime, comedy, adventure, music, fiction and factual shows. Our target is the urban upmarket audience,” said Keertan Adyanthaya, managing director, Fox International channels India.
The channels will be available in the Indian market through direct to home services and digital and analog cables.
The network already airs two entertainment channels in India — national geography and fox history.
