Four cast members of the ‘Housewives of New York’ fired
September 16th, 2011 - 11:23 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Sept 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bravo has reportedly fired Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Cindy Barshop and Alex McCord from the show, Real Housewives of New York City. The Huffington Post reported that the network notified some of the stars of the decision on Thursday.
Just hours after the news was published, Zarin has come out with her version of events. In an interview with the US Weekly magazine, the rep of the star told the world that, “Jill has not been fired from The Real Housewives of New York City. The truth is that Jill is still in discussions with Bravo for season 5 and hasn’t made a final decision about returning to the show.”
Bravo has not announced the final cast for the 5th season of the show but if the initial report by Huffington Post turns out to be factual, then only three cast members - LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan – will be retaining their jobs after the fourth season of the show.
Bravo is said to be in negotiations with both old and new cast members. US Magazine reports that Singer is halfway through her negotiations with the network for another season on the show.
