Former maid sues Kim Kardashian over unpaid wages
February 8th, 2010 - 4:57 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb 8 (ANI): Kim Kardashian’s former maid has dragged her to court over unpaid wages.
Isabel Hernandez, who worked for Kardashian while the socialite was married to music producer Damon Thomas, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleging that the former couple did not pay her salary.
Hernandez claims that she was made to work for long periods of time and was only given lump sums every few months.
She says a 13,100 dollars cheque given to her in March 2006 bounced. Hernandez is also claiming another 300dollars in payment for 2009.
However, Kardashian’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley pointed out that she cannot be sued for any outstanding payments as she had moved out of the marital home in Los Angeles before divorcing Thomas in 2004.
According to TMZ, Hernandez has taken Thomas and Kardashian to court for breach of contract and is demanding 29,000dollars in damages, reports the Daily Star.
Kardashian - who was just 19 when she wed Thomas - has since moved on and is dating American footballer Reggie Bush. (ANI)
