It was in the year 2002 during the second season of “The Bachelor” that Aaron Buerge proposed to Helene Eksterowicz in the season grand finale by presenting her a ring. But the couple split at the end of the year. A few years later, Aaron has finally discovered her ideal partner, and it seems that it was love on first “bite”.

“Long story short, I got some hot dog mustard on her the first time we met,” said Aaron Buerge, the 35 year old banker and restaurant owner who confirms to the PEOPLE magazine that he wishes to marry his fiancee Angye McIntosh, a commercial insurance agent on the 8th of August in their hometown at Springfield.

This is Buerge’s first marriage proposal since the televised coverage of the second season of “The Bachelor”, where Aaron proposed to Helene, but the couple split soon after. “I would like to have a family. I am not getting any younger. At this point when you are in your mid 30’s, most of the drama of dating has gone away. There’s a lot of maturity in your relationship. I know from my experience that what I am looking for and what makes me happy. I am amazingly calm about the whole situation, believe it or not. That’s kind of a good sign,” said Buerge while speaking his heart out to the “People” magazine.

But what’s more surprising is that the couple met through Aaron’s ex flame. “My ex-girl friend and I thought we would get together for some beers and that’s how I met Angye,” says Aaron. “She’s really a genuine person, and that’s really hard to come by,” adds Aaron.

The couple plans to get married on 8th of August in Springfield.
