Aug 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Country singer Kristy Lee Cook, who is best known as the seventh place finalist on the seventh season of ‘American Idol,” has begun a new stint with reality television with a brand new series “Goin’ Country” which made its debut on the cable network Versus over the weekend. The new show featuring the former “American Idol” contestant has managed to grab many eyeballs since its recent premiere.

In the brand new reality series, the viewers would get the chance of witnessing the troubles faced by Kristy Lee Cook as she works hard to get a record label while it also follows the singer on her series of hunting expeditions all across the country. Versus network officials have revealed that in every episode of the hunting reality series, the 26-year-old musical artist would indulge in different kinds of hunting which includes Kristy Lee Cook’s very first black buck hunt in Wisconsin, her visit to Kansas for a pheasant hunt while she also makes a trip to Missouri for a rather troublesome turkey hunt. As the series gradually unfolds, the former “American Idol” contestant would be joined by her friends as well as family members and many other celebrity guests which includes former ‘American Idol” participant Blake Lewis, country music artist Aaron Tippin as well as Jake Owen.

Although Kristy Lee Cook is extremely excited about her run on the new reality series, the hunting show has attracted the wrath of a number of animal rights group including PETA. However, the country singer has brushed away the condemnation by saying it is all part of the food chain!
