Ford not interested in Oscars

February 26th, 2008 - 12:30 pm ICT by admin -

London, Feb 26 (IANS) Action star Harrison Ford is not too interested in an Oscar and wouldn’t mind ending his career without ever winning one. Ford feels he doesn’t need awards to confirm that he is a good actor, reports contactmusic.com. Ford was nominated for Best Actor in 1986 for his role in “Witness” but has not won since.

Ford, now 65, thinks he may never win one and doesn’t seem to care too much. “The Oscar represents the respect of your peers. I respect the people I work with. I would rather earn their respect on the set day by day. That means more to me than an award.”
