Ford Capri: Katy Perry’s Wedding Gift To Hubby Russell Brand

October 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The much hyped grand wedding of Katy Perry and Russell Brand took place during this weekend in presence of celebrity guests at the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan. The couple tied the knot as per Hindu tradition and following their western tradition, Katy has gifted her hubby a vintage red Ford Capri as wedding gift.
In the US, the car is sold as the Mercury Capri and now Russell will have a classic ride with his wife Katy in this car. This news was revealed by the UK’s Daily Star as an affiliate of this magazine had the exclusive rights of covering the wedding. The vintage car gifted by Katy Perry is a 1970s cult classic. The company aimed the 4-cylinder coupe to be a pony car-like product for the Euro market. The Ford Capri is based on an existing sedan and the sporty model also comes at affordable rate.
Speaking about the vehicles allotted to the celebrity guests like Rihanna and P. Diddy, it was a line of open-topped Maruti Suzuki Gypsy Kings. They went out for sightseeing in this Jeep of India. The long Gypsy is sold at about $15,000 and it comes in different utilitarian configurations. Indian military police also use this vehicle.
As per the hotel officials, the couple wore Indian traditional clothes for their wedding. The couple probably went out on this vintage car after their wedding ceremony!
No doubt Katy has a good choice when it comes to choosing gifts for her hubby.
