“Jab Fiza apne Tewar dikhati hai tab chand aur suraj chhop jatein hai!”
This line may sound straight out of a Hindi film, but this is what Fiza Chand claimed even before entering the show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao on Sony Entertainment Television!
Fiza’s reason to join the show was to be able to challenge her-self mentally, physically and in a way be prepared for the worst. She indeed was one of the contestants who you could love, hate but couldn’t ignore!
Even though she was the only non television or a filmi celebrity amongst the group she made her presence felt and was heard loud and clear, while campers– Aakashh Deep Saigal, Anaida and Aman fought with her on many occasions. The camp members had put allegations against Fiza and Palak for not contributing towards performing daily tasks and purposely avoiding work!
This resulted in Fiza not being nominated to take up the daily “Jungle challenge” which was given to the contests in lieu of better and more quantity of food for the meals. Ironically when all the celebrities walked out of the jungle, Fiza along with best friend Palak were the only two celebrities to have stayed behind in a hope that the other would never return.
Much to their disappointment, the other celebrities soon returned back to the camp and prepared for the weekly elimination. Fiza was pitted against singer Anaida as the two were the least voted contestants and were made to face the Maha Jungle challenge!
For most of us, one look at Fiza and our guess would have been that she would never take the challenge but she proved all wrong! Fiza and Anaida were challenged to transfer snakes and pythons from one tank to the other, Fiza in-spite of a leg injury, managed to perform the task but lost to Anaida!
Today on her birthday she is happy to have been eliminated and leave the Malaysian jungle, and instead spend the day in her cozy home with friends and family!
