Gowtham Menon, the reigning filmmaker of Tamil film industry has been churning out awe-inspiring films in his career. Well, he holds a prominent place for making films of different genres. With his previous films “Vaaranam Aayiram’ turning to be a blockbuster; he has almost completed shooting for his next film “Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ too. Gowtham himself terms his film to be a “Breezy Romance-entertainer’ starring Silambarasan and Trisha in lead roles. Simbhu has precipitously shed his mass-hero image and gears up for a contrast role.
So far, the film has been shot across the exotic locales of Chennai, Kerala and Malta Island. The film revolves around two young people who fall in love. Sources have revealed that filming has been almost completed with couple of songs and climax portion left to be shot.
Well, the highlight is Academy Award Winner A.R. Rahman scoring music for this film. The film has five song situations and Rahman has tuned melodies for 3 songs penned by Thamarai. Couple of them has been filmed stylishly. The song “Hosanna’ has “Jai Ho’ song fame Vijay Prakash crooning while Rahman himself has rendered his stupendous voice for “Omana Penne’. Both the songs have been shot at Malta Island with eye-catching visuals.
Manoj Paramahamsa handles cinematography adding to the beauty of the film with spectacular ambience envisioned by Rajeevan (art director) and the crisp cutting of Anthony (Editing).
Nalini Sriram adds to the appearance of the film with striking costumes for all the actors in the scenes and songs. The costumes made for the songs are eye catching and hard to be missed by audience!
The film also has Ganesh, Babu Anthony, Pranav, Kitty, Uma Padmanabhan and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan performing prominent characters.
The film is produced by Madan and Ganesh of Escape Artists Motion Pictures in collaboration with Kumar and Jayaraman (R.S. Infotainment).
The film is set to hit the screens by second week of November.
