Tontitown, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The family of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are celebrating their very first grandchild who was named as Mackynzie Renee Duggar and she weighed 8 pounds and 19 1/2 inches.

The reality TV family, the Duggars, welcomed their first grand-child on Thursday. Josh Duggar, the eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 18 children and his wife Anna welcomed a baby girl.

The proud parents of the first Duggar grandchild are Josh and Anna, who are both 20. They got married on Sept. 26, 2008, at the Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Fla., after meeting at a home-schoolers’ conference in 2006. They said that it was love at first sight for both of them.

“Josh was excited to participate in the birth as well,” said a family friend. “They are both so happy.”

“I ask Anna what she needs,” Josh told PEOPLE in July. “I talk to the baby and we involve her in our conversations. When Anna and I are talking to each other, we’ll say, ‘So, how do you like that, Mackynzie?’ ”

According to TV reports, Mackynzie Duggar’s birth will be featured on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting special “First Grandduggar,” airing Tuesday, October 13, at 9 p.m.
