Hertfordshire, Mar 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A fire broke out on the sets of the latest Harry Potter movie – ‘Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows.’ It has also destroyed a set worth $150,000, and the filming has also come to an abrupt halt. The accident happened when the technicians were using explosives while filming the Battle of the Hogwarts scene. In this scene a castle made up of timber, steel and plastic was also involved, and it caught fire. Fortunately no one was injured.
The fire personnel took 40 minutes to douse the fire. Even though the cast and crew on the sets were agile enough to run to safety and escape any bodily injuries, the set was completely destroyed. According to a source, “We were shooting the scenes where Hogwarts gets blown up during the battle. But fire managed to catch hold of the set and it went up in flames. It was completely out of control at one point.”
The production company Warner Bros said that the production would be in progress, despite the fact that there might be some delay in the schedule in lieu of the fire. The movie “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” was earlier scheduled to be released in November 2010, and its second part was scheduled to be released in July 2011. A 3D version of the movie is also in the pipeline.
