Fiona Bruce’s harasser Peter Oakey has been detained, he is mentally ill

BBC newsreader Fiona Bruce was harassed by a man sending her love messages. When she filed the complaint against the man he was detained.

According to the source the name of the person sending love messages to the newsreader was Peter Oakey. The man sent disturbing messages as well as love greetings stating that Bruce has is his beautiful firebird and calling himself as her loving husband.

The 51 years old man sent the messages from Brentwood, Essex. On her recent interview Bruce said she was unhappy and worried about the messages. Soon after his detention man was sent to hospital for mental check-up.

Judge John Lodge passed the hospital orders. In the hospital series of test were carried out and it was observed by a psychiatrist that man is suffering from persistent delusional disorder. The hospital reports suggest that the man is mentally ill.

Reports claim that Oakey was under a hallucination of Ms Bruce’s love and he thought that Bruce is his wife and he is her husband. After reading the reports Judge was satisfied that Oakey was mentally ill and needs compulsory and appropriate hospital treatment.
