Aug 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘America’s Got Talent’ semifinal episode held some big surprises in terms of performances as well as results. The top 5 out of the 12 were announced and some big stars like Kylie Minogue and Jimmy Fallon were also seen on stage. Some of the contestants from the earlier seasons also entertained the audience at the nail biting semifinal results episode.

Nick Cannon announced the first set of semifinalists and on stage were ArcAttack, Dan Sperry, Future Funk and Christina Young. In spite of ArcAttack and Future Funk being two of the favorites to make it to the next round, none of the first four on stage made it to the finals. After a few stellar performances, next up on stage were Anna & Patryk and Ascendance. Anna & Patryk made it to the next round and Sharon Osbourne said that they deserved it as they had improved over the weeks in the competition. The next three up on stage took the audience and judges by surprise as all three of them had enough talent to see them through to the next round-Michael Grimm, Taylor Mathews and Prince Poppycock. To the amazement of the audience, Nick Cannon announced that all three were going through to the finals.

With just one spot left in the finals and three semifinalists still left to go, things started to look tense. Nick Cannon announced that the first act to go home among Christina and Ali, Antonio Restivo and Connor Doran would be Antonio Restivo. Finally it was announced that Christina and Ali were the last of the finalists.
