Dhaka, Jan 25 (IANS) Films from India and 39 other countries are among 156 entries at the 2nd International Children’s Film Festival that began here Saturday, a media report said Sunday.Getting children back from watching TV and playing computer games to get exposed to film culture is the aim of the children’s film festival, its organisers say.
Abdullah Abu Sayeed who inaugurated the festival, expressed frustration at the children growing up without a healthy childhood. Most of them spent their time either watching televisions or playing games on computer, he said.
Festival director Morshedul Islam told New Age newspaper: “We have organised the festival to give the children an exposure to the culture and traditions of different countries through films.”
