August 23, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Stacy Ferguson, the pop singer is planning to give the rock n roll legend Slash a tribute next week. Both of them are expected to perform together at the Los Angeles Music Festival then.
The guitarist well known for ‘Guns N Roses’ has commissioned Stacy Ferguson to lend her vocals for ‘Beautiful Dangerous’ which will be a part of his self titled solo album. Ferguson is also known for her ‘Black Eyed Peas’ and will be featured as a guest performer in Slash’s solo album.
And now Ferguson is planning to salute the rock n roll artist at the ‘Sunset Strip Music Festival’ in Los Angeles where she is expected to join him on stage for a special performance.
She told USmagazine.com that she was really excited about performing with Slash and expected her rock avatar to emerge that night. Slash had apparently been Fergie’s idol once.
Slash who had long been involved with this particular music festival will be honored for his contribution to both the ‘Strip’ as well as to the music industry. The three day music festival has the 26th of August marked as a special Slash’s day.
The tribute from Fergie is also expected to include certain words from the close friends of Slash. It is likely to feature Myles Kennedy the vocalist for Alter Bridge as well.
Common, The Steel Panther and the Smashing Panther are the other acts that are scheduled to take place at the festival. Slash and Ferguson’s duet is scheduled on the 28th of August at the House of Blues.
