Mumbai, March 29, 2009: It was a day of adventure, fun and frolic for the 20 glamorous finalists of the Femina Miss India pageant, selected across all the major cities in India, at Lavasa. After plenty of hard work and training for the coveted crown, the short-listed finalists are ready to conquer the World, the Universe and the Earth. This visit was a leisure trip to relax and rejuvenate the contestants before the grand finale next week as well as showcase the new and modern world of Lavasa.

The trip was organized as a fun filled day for the contestants with many recreational activities. A swinging party on the promenade of the newly-opened Fortune Select Dasve greeted the contestants on arrival. The next morning, they were taken around Lavasa for a site visit and enjoyed a stroll along the nature trail. The girls appeared confident, fun loving and flamboyant as they enjoyed the boat rides and water sports competitions at the lakeshore.

Tourism and water-based sports commenced in Lavasa from 2008, and multiple theme parks are currently being wrapped up, with a 2010 opening date. Lavasa has many water-related sports including jet skis, catamarans, motor and pedal boats, fishing, angling and pool volleyball, while equestrian sports, adventure sports and musical fountains with laser and sound shows are also offered. -Sampurn Media
