Farrah Fawcett Actress Farrah Fawcett’s private funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 4 p.m, on June 30, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles in Los Angeles. More than 200 people had attended the event to pay their last respect to the iconic actress, including friends, family and colleagues from the film industry. Fawcett’s longtime lover Ryan O’Neal was present in the ceremony throughout and was one of the nine pall bearers who helped to carry the casket.

Fawcett’s son, Redmond was also present at the ceremony and helped carry his mother’s casket, that was decorated with yellow and orange flowers. Redmond had been granted special leave from the rehab center where he is serving his term related to drug charges, to attend his mother’s funeral service.

The other “Charlie’s Angels”, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd had all turned up for the ceremony. Ladd had been the one who had replaced Fawcett on the 70s show. Some of the other big names who had attended the funeral service were Garry Shandling, novelist Jackie Collins, model Cheryl Tiegs, Joan Collins, Marla Maples, hairstylist Jose Eber. Fawcett’s ex Lee Majors (the two had got in touch after a long gap of twenty years) was also present.

According to the reports of the People magazine, O’Neal and Fawcett’s best friend Alana Stewart had arrived at the cathedral very early yesterday afternoon, almost around 4 p.m. Photographs of the funeral are available online.

A photo of Farrah Fawcett in a sequined dress was featured in the service. O’Neal read 23rd Psalm and several passages and Alana Stewart and oncologist Dr. Lawrence Piro delivered eulogies. Stewart said,”Farrah never felt sorry for herself during her illness. She fought cancer furiously. She always seemed so indestructible.”

Goodbye Farrah Fawcett, even though you are gone, your memory will live on.
