The news about the former “Charlie’s Angel” Farrah Fawcett is not very assuring. The 70’s icon has been waging a very strong willed battle for life against anal cancer for the past three years. It seems that she is finally succumbing to her nemesis, after her long drawn war. Family and friends of the yesteryear’s actress are preparing themselves for the worst confrontation about her deteriorating health condition. It has been reported by Contactmusic that a priest was called in on the 24th Of June, to perform the last rites for the devout Catholic, while she lay on her bed in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to reports, Fawcett was readmitted to the hospital in California in the beginning of this week, after her condition had started taking turns for the worse. The 62 year old’s partner Ryan O’Neal is said to be present by her bed side most of the time, to help her see through this harrowing time. O’Neal had reportedly planned on marrying Fawcett before she passes away. However, there has been no news of any such arrangements till now.

O’Neal is also desperately seeking to secure a temporary jail release of the 24 year old son of Fawcett, so that the son can be at the mother’s side to say his final goodbye. Fawcett’s son Redmond is currently serving his time in a rehab jail, where he has been placed on charges related to drug abuse.

Farrah Fawcett was hospitalized in the month of April this year due to problems related to internal bleeding, which was said not to be related to the terminal disease that she is diagnosed with.
