Farrah Fawcett Has Passed Away

Farrah Fawcett Thursday has been a sad day of many losses and grievous revelations; two very endearing celebrities, Micheal Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have departed and their fans are heartbroken. Just yesterday it was heard that a priest was called in to read the former “Cherlie’s Angel” pin up girl her last rites in the intensive care unit. Fawcett, being a devout Catholic, did not want to compromise on her religious beliefs under any circumstances. According to reports, Fawcett passed away at 9:28 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Barbara Waters had devoted a segment of the show “The View” on ABC to honor the 70’s style icon, who has been fighting for her life for the past three years against a terminally ill disease. Tonight on ABC at 9:00 p.m central, Barbara Waters will host a special segment of 20/20 that will be focusing on Farrah Fawcett and her life at large, bordering on love, life and the legacy that she has left behind.Farrah Fawcett had been diagnosed with anal cancer and her condition had been gradually deteriorating over the past few weeks since April 2009. Since she was re-admitted to the hospital last week, her condition had been on a down slide.

In her last hours, she had beside her bedside, partner Ryan O’Neal, Mela Murphy and her close friend and hair dresser Alana Stewart. Fawcett’s 24 year old son Redmond O’Neal was unable to be by his mother’s side during her final hours as he is serving his term at a rehab center, where he was placed on drug charges sometime ago. Ryan O’Neal was later photographed looking shocked and heartbroken after Fawcett had passed away.
