tesDec 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Farah Khan’s latest venture ‘Tees Maar Khan’ which was pitched as one of the major releases of the year, hit theaters across the country on Friday. Owing to extensive promotional campaigns undertaken by producers of the action/ comedy film, it was well expected that the movie would receive a grand opening when it release over the Christmas weekend. More so, the scorching chemistry between the lead pair, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif was another factor that was sure to accentuate the hoopla engulfing the flick.

The expectations from the latest presentation of Farah Khan was definitely running extremely high given the stupendous success that two of her last releases ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’ received from the movie-goers. Although the earlier two flicks starred the King Khan of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan who would be conspicuous by his absence in the latest venture, this is surely not going to be a deterrent in ensuring that ‘Tees Maar Khan’ ends up getting the mass appeal while entertaining the viewers to the fullest. However, despite the huge hype as well as the media frenzy surrounding the movie, it has received scathing reviews from many critics who have slammed the movie as a complete let down.

While the many critics have criticized the performances of the lead actors, others have blamed the rather poor script of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ as one of its major weaknesses. Meanwhile, other reviews have read that despite being a considerably good material for developing a flick in the action-comedy genre, the movie fails miserably when it comes to entertaining the movie-goers.
