The latest news to hit the scene involves not only one of Bollywood’s most successful actor -Akshay Kumar but also Bollywood’s most loved director Farah Khan.

Farah Khan of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om fame has just signed Akshay Kumar for her next directorial venture titled “Tees Maar Khan”.

The film will be produced by Shirish and Farah’s home production “Three’s Company Pvt Ltd.” and co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s “Hari Om Productions”.

Talking about choosing Akshay Kumar as the lead Shirish Kunder confirms, “I had written this film with Akshay in mind and was initially planning to direct it. But when Farah and I formed our production company, we mutually thought it best that she direct this film while I take the responsibility of a producer. Akshay and I shared a great rapport while working on Jaane-e-mann, and I have been looking forward to work with him again. This project gives me that opportunity”

Farah Khan’s last movie was, Om Shanti Om, which at the time of its release was the highest grossing Hindi film of that time and ever since the who’s who of the industry has wanted to work with her.

Quotes Farah Khan, “It’s our first project under Three’s Company Pvt Ltd. and we are very excited. Akshay Kumar comes under the bracket of the top 3 actors in the industry. Tees Maar Khan as a script is right up my alley. It’s brilliant and Akshay suits the role perfectly as Shirish wrote it with him in mind. It will be a pleasure to be working with him.”

Talking about his next venture with Shirish and Farah, Akshay Kumar said, “Farah is the strongest and the most capable woman in the business. She holds respect from the biggest of people. Tees Maar Khan is going to be a special film because it has the best of both worlds-Farah’s talent as a director and Shirish’s story telling ability. I’m very happy to be associated with this project and I’m sure Farah will make sure we live up to the title and make this film larger than life.”

From the looks of it the teaming one of Bollywood’s most successful directors –Farah Khan and one of the industry’s most successful actors –Akshay Kumar do make quite a force to reckon with.
