London, November 19 (ANI): Hundreds of fans flocked around their idol Zac Efron at the premier of his new film, Me And Orson Welles, in London.

People were said to have queued for several hours at the Vue West End cinema in Leicester Square to see the High School Musical actor.

The 22-year-old later spoke about his character, a teenage student who gets to work with a young Orson Welles.

‘I could really relate to the character. I went through a lot of theatre when I was his age. Everything that happened to me in 10 years happened in one week of his life,’ the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

He added: ‘It’s also a great opportunity to do something about Orson Welles - he’s an incredible performer on Broadway, on radio and one of the best directors of all time, so hopefully people will be reintroduced to him.’

Co-star Claire Danes also said: ‘I’ve grown accustomed to the hysteria that tends to surround Zac and I get it, because he’s absolutely gorgeous, but even more than that he’s a terrific actor.” (ANI)
