Fans look forward to CMT Awards 2011
June 8th, 2011 - 7:32 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Country Music Television Awards 2011 will be held on Wednesday evening. The event will be aired live on CMT starting from 8pm. The event will be hosted by last year’s host Kid Rock and it will be held at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville.
Several presenters have been lined up for the night. Stars like Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, Sheryl Crow, Sara Evans, Laura Bell Bundy, Kristin Chenoweth along with Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alania who were the winner and the runner up of the just ended season of the highly successful music talent show “American Idol.”
Several stars have been nominated for awards. Leading the pack of nominees are Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, Band Perry, Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts with four nominations each. Zac Brown Band is next with three nominations including the Video of the Year award with the track “Colder Weather.”
Some top stars have been lined up to perform during the night. Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan and Sugarland among others have been billed to give performances.
The CMT Awards is one of the prestigious awards in the US music industry.
