Famous Fantacy Illustrator Frank Frazetta Dies

frankFlorida, May 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The manager of the famous fantasy artist Frank Frazetta revealed to the media sources on Monday that the artist has died. The artist died on Monday after suffering a stroke on Sunday night after returning to his Boca Grande home from a dinner with his daughter. Frank Frazetta was 82 years old. The manager Rob Pistella said on Monday that the artist was taken to a Fort Myers hospital where he breathed his last. Frank Frazetta’s daughter Heidi Frazetta Grabin said to media sources that though Frank Frazetta has suffered from strokes before as well but at present he was doing fine and had not reported any complications.

Frank Frazetta has ruled the world of fantasy comic illustrations for decades and was considered as a great fantasy artist who was able to blow life into imaginative characters. He had been in association with some of the most well known comic book publishing houses. His contribution to the world of comic illustration is immense and many he has created illustrations and covers for more than 150 comic and other books.

In 1977, a well known news journal said that some publishing houses are there who first buy a painting of Frank Frazetta to use it as a cover and then commission writers to create a novel that fist with the character drawn by the painter. Frank Frazetta also created many movie posters and has acted as an influence for many other later artists. Rob Pistella on Monday said that Frank Frazetta will be remembered by all as the most renowned fantasy illustrator of the 20th century.
