Family Ties Star Brian Bonsall Gets Two Year’s Probation

Apr 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Bosnall, who starred as the baby boy, Andrew (Andy) Keaton on the hit series “Family Ties” from 1986 to 1989, has been sentenced to two years probation. The charges stem from an incident which happened last year, when Bosnall got into a fight with his friend. The fight occurred in Colorado, according to the Associated Press.

Brian Bosnall is now 28 years old. He plead guilty to felony menacing and third degree assault in his court case on Thursday. During the fight with his friend, Bosnall was said to have struck the other boy repeadedly with a broken wooden stool. He also plead guilty to violating the terms of his prior probation because he tested positive for marijuana. His previous probation was also for a violent outburst. He had plead guilty to assaulting his girlfriend in 2007. On Thursday, Bosnall was sentenced to five days in a work release program, and 40 hours of community service for the probation violation.

Brian Bosnall was born on December 3, 1981 in Torrance CA. He was only four years old when he got the role of Andy Keaton. After Family Ties, he also starred in several movies and television shows such as “Mikey”, “Fatherhood”, “Distant Cousins”, “Blank Check”, and also played the character of Alexander Rozhenko on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”
