Los Angeles, Dec 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brittany’s anguished family has revealed that the 32 year old actress was sick, with ‘flu-like’ symptoms before her death on Sunday, which was triggered by a cardiac arrest.

Brittany Murphy was reportedly taking prescription medication for flu-like symptoms that she had been experiencing for a few days prior to Sunday. She is also said to have begun vomiting early on Sunday morning, and told her family that she was feeling very ill.

Sources also divulged that various prescriptions were found in the home written out for her, her husband Simon Monjack, and her mother. Sharon. A source revealed, “There were a lot … a lot of prescriptions in the house.”

Brittany Murphy also suffered from Type-2 diabetes, although that itself is not enough to trigger off a heart attack and cause her death. After he untimely death on Sunday, Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack had requested that an autopsy of the dead actress not be carried out. But the LA County Coroner’s office said that they would perform an autopsy, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said that Brittany Murphy’s death seemed to be from natural causes and there was no sign of foul play, but police are still investigating all the same.
