white1 Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Betty White is said to be pretty close to putting the final touches on her agreement with Saturday Night Live to co-host their show. According to “Entertainment Weekly”, White, along with a few other ladies, Molly Shannon, and maybe Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be hosting a “Women of Comedy” episode.

This comes after a group “Betty White to Host SNL (please?)” started by David Mathews hit 500,000 members strong, and the bookers at Saturday Night Live realized that it may be in their best interest to consider the request.

Facebook, which is the very popular social networking site owned by Facebook Inc. has been providing it’s users a way to very publicly speak out since September of 2006. Founded by Mark Zuckerberg, and several of his college room mates, while they were attending Harvard, the program was initially just for Harvard students, to get to know each other better. It quickly spread all over the world, to anyone over 13 who does not live in a country where it is banned.

White, who is 88 years old, has had a very long and rewarding career which began with “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and spread to “The Golden Girls”. She was also in “The Proposal” alongside Sandra Bullock, and accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award after being introduced by Sandra Bullock.

Saturday Night Live has not yet confirmed this news.
